Straight answers before the estimate

Questions worth asking before work begins.

A clear scope protects the idea you are excited about. These answers cover the first conversation; your written proposal should cover the exact job.

Planning, scope and service

Do you provide free estimates?

Yes. 4 Seasons Outdoor Living offers free estimates. Share your address, the service you are considering and what you want to change.

Which areas do you serve?

We serve listed communities in Louisville Metro and Southern Indiana, including Louisville, Crestwood, La Grange and Floyds Knobs. Visit the Service Areas page for the complete Kentucky and Indiana list.

What is included in the hardscape warranty?

Hardscapes have a five-year craftsmanship warranty. Specific coverage, materials, exclusions and responsibilities should be confirmed in the written scope for your project.

What is the Christmas light warranty?

Christmas lights have a full three-year labor and material warranty. This warranty is specific to Christmas lights and does not apply to unrelated services.

What is included in the Christmas light price?

Christmas light installation, maintenance, take down and storage are all included in the price. We handle the display from setup through the end of the season.

Do you offer mowing, fertilization or financing?

We do not offer mowing, fertilization or financing. Our services focus on outdoor living projects, hardscapes, landscape improvements, drainage and lighting.

Can you plan drainage with a patio or retaining wall?

Drainage should be discussed when grade or hard surfaces may affect water movement. It remains a distinct scope and should only be considered included when the written proposal says so.

How much will my project cost?

Cost depends on the site, access, size, preparation, materials and exact work included. A free estimate is the appropriate way to develop a project-specific price.

How long will the work take?

Timing varies with scope, site conditions, materials and scheduling. Discuss the current schedule during your estimate and have project-specific expectations included in writing.

Do I need a permit or HOA approval?

Requirements vary by address and scope. Applicable permits, HOA approvals, utility locations and local rules should be confirmed before work begins. Your written scope should identify who is responsible for each item.
